I've missed you blog. I've been cheating. working on my other blog, www.mamadna.wordpress.com. I've been following all my other blogs with google reader. I"be been pinning and repinning on pinterest (completely obsessed). These things sort of take away most of what I use this blog for - to repost things i've seen and liked so i don't forget, to keep up to date with the other blogs i like.I got a new phone that i can do all of these things on. But blog, I've still missed you.
I have started doulaing. is that a word? Being a birth assistant. I have two clients already! although, I really wish i had more. come on ladies! get preggo! I took a three day course in january and came out of it so happy and positive...it was really amazing. And it's only getting better.I'll start working with and being listed on the Richmond doulas website, which is a fantastic way to meet other doulas, make connections, and put myself out there. And I had a wonderful friend create my own logo for me. it's pretty amazing. I've also started working with the Richmond Chapter of VA birth matters, which works around the state to promote healthy, natural birth. I'll be walking the monument 10K with them in April! yikes. do i need to train for that? its just walking right? I like walking. Needless to say, my world is full of birth right now.
I took my first weekend vacation away from the baby and husband. It was weird. I mean, I loved it! I went to WVA for a girls weekend with my friend and we went hiking along a river (well, through the river) to some falls - freaking gorgeous. And we stopped in a really cute town, had lunch at another cute little place - all in all my experiences in WVA have been great. Its a cool place to vacation for sure. Being away from the baby was - it was nice. But not really. I think the main reason my mommy guilt wa sin overdrive is because I don't see her a lot during the week with working, sand weekends are our girl time. so i'm not sure how soon i'll be doing that again... but it was lovely.
and with all the time I don't have i'll be crafting again soon. A peacock, an owl and something special for my husband.
